Come get to know Heather...

Good Morning to all our Crafting Family friends!
We hope all of you had a wonderful crafty weekend.

Throughout the next few weeks we will be highlighting each of our Team members so we can all get to know them a little better.

Today we are peeking into DT member, Heather's crafty world.

1. When did you start scrapbooking/paper crafting and why?
I started when I was in 6th grade just putting pictures in books! lol... I started because I moved 2 states away from my friends and I wanted to have scrapbooks with all our pictures in them... But I really started getting into it when we had our daughter a little over 2 years ago. :)

2. What type of project is your favorite to make (i.e. cards, layouts, mini album, etc.) ?
I'm really big on layouts, but I also like making mini albums and cards.... Just recently I have been making cards :)

3. Do you have a favorite product you like to use on your projects?
I LOVE Lindy's Stamp Gang products and I am Roses flowers!!!

4. Who is your favorite manufacturer (i.e. BoBunny, MME, Pink Paislee) ?
I don't really have one.... I like to try all different brands!

5. Do you have a scrapbook/paper crafting idol? If so, who and why?
Well I have a couple.... lol... Marion Smith, bc she is so awesome! She has young children like myself and she does tutorials on ustream and youtube. Then there is my friend Nancy, I met her on youtube and she is a very talented lady and also does tutorials on youtube and she is so good :)  Then of course there is Tim Holtz! Ahhhhh nothing more to say about that! ;)

6. What do you do in your spare time, when you are not scrapbooking/paper crafting?
Taking care of my daughter and I enjoy reading as well... I also LOVE watching movies!

7. Is there anything else you would like us to know about you?
I was a cheerleader and dancer for 9 years... And my husband is in the United States Marine Corps. We have been together since I was in 8th grade! :)

Here are some crafty projects you'll find on Heather's blog:

May sketch

hello folks, its Renee here!
each month our team is going to do sketch and have a guest DT!
so this month we used a sketch from pagemaps

our guest DT this month is Lyndi!

I'm a 28yr old stay-at-home home who loves to be family and friends, and just about anyone can be my friend! I love getting to know new people. I live in Utah and have my whole life. I love vacations and road-trips, but it's great to have somewhere so comfortable and familiar to come home to. I enjoy having fun, throwing parties, playing games, watching movies and just enjoying life. I love scrapbooking, making things for my Etsy shop, shopping (especially for scrapbook supplies), and looking at the creative projects of others. Some of my favorite things (besides my family are friends) are stars, candy, safety pins, music, celebrating, cheese, pasta, fairs and festivals, and finding a great bargains. Custom Wedding Album

I made this wedding album for one of my dearest friends in my first year of scrapbooking and it's the biggest project I've ever scrapped before! I regret to say that I don't even have that many layouts to call my own, but as with all works from the heart, they are best shared :).  I suppose when I have a family of my own one day I will have more desire to scrap for myself. Anyways, my friend's wedding was a destination wedding in Las Vegas!

'Til the next project, I remain

Valentine Artist Trading Card Swap

So my newest endeavor was making artist trading cards to swap with other wonderful crafters on my favorite scrapbooking website, Crop Chocolate.  My friend Paula organized the swap and I am so happy I took on the project. I had never made them before, and I when I was done I was hooked! These cards are 2.5 x 3.5 inches, must be signed and dated on the back, and can be made with any material you chose.  For this swap, they had to be different in some way and follow the Valentine theme.  I signed up to make 4 of them, and so I will receive the same amount in return from other crafters, so it is truly a treat!
