Life the life you want

Hi Everyone,
It's Jessie. :) I just wanted to pop in and share a card with you.

The background papers are from My Minds Eye, and I cut them into strips lightly adhered them and then sewed around the edges, The flowers I actually picked up at the bridal consignment shop and they matched my papers perfectly. The little girl is a digital stamp from Cheryl Seslar Designs, here is a link to her. She was a freebie. The sentiment is from K Andrew Designs, Positive thoughts set.

I hope you are all enjoying your holiday season.

Declaration by Pink Paislee on a layout.

This will be my last post of the year for Crafting Family as we're breaking for the holidays. I'm sharing a layout using Pink Paislee's Declaration line.
I had shared another layout last month using this collection & talked about how I was at first nervous since it is definitely a themed collection. I tend to shy away from themed items; however, as you can see by both layouts, you can make it work for you!

For more details about this sweet boy in the photo & anything else you may want to know, visit my blog. Happy (early) holidays & we'll see you next year!

Jessie's DT Post card made from paper scraps

Hi Everyone,
Jessie here from Edogg Sugarlips and Princess Buttercup. If you are anything like me you have a HUGE bin/pile/bag of scraps that you can't throw away cause you know you are going to use them :)  I cut my scraps at 1/2 wide and then they vary from 2.5-4.5 inches to make the lattice portion.  I just kinda played with them until I liked how it looked and then glued it down. I added some eye-lets, embroidery floss and a sentiment.  Quick and easy card.

Tuesday with Tiffany

Hello Crafting Family! It's DT member Tiffany here with your Tuesday post. My fun little tip on this layout is to make the most of your double sided pattern papers. I trimmed my paper to 11x9 and then trimmed that to two 9x3 pieces and a 9x5. I then adhered them to the layout, flipping my 9x5 piece over to reveal the reverse side of the paper. =) Tiffany

Supplies: Pattern Paper- Studio Calico, Title-My Minds Eye, Felt- Close to My Heart, Twine- The Twinery, Cardstock- DCWV

Taking a Look Back...

Hello Crafting Family Friends. I'm Kimberly Fordyce and it's my day to share with you here. I thought it might be fun to take a look back @ this little owl tag I made back in June. Seeing this tag and the colors I think of fall. This is a six inch tag and I just Love it!

To make my tag I used my Creative Memories circle cutter and cut out 10 little circles that I layered on an owl body that I cut out using the Cricut cart. Hoot 'n' Holler. I traced out the wings on a scrap piece of brown card-stock and cut it out and layered it on top. My wiggle eyes sit on top of two circles that I didn't cut all the way through so they would be connected in the center. To give my little owl a little dimension I inked the edges.

Recipe-
Cricut lite Cartridge- Hoot 'n' Holler
Cricut Cartridge- George & Basic Shapes
Paper- American Crafts "Letterbox Many Thanks"
-My Mind's Eye "Hip & Luxurious Basics" Lush
-My Mind's Eye " Good Day Sunshine"
-Pebbles "Happy go Lucky"
scraps
Creative Memories Circle cutter
wiggle eyes
Ink- Studio G
Scrap- ribbon

I also would like to let you know about the sketch challenge going on here @ the Crafting Family. We have a great sketch from Page Maps we are using. Please check it out it will be the last challenge for the year!
So glad you dropped by :)

Altered Pencil Cup from Jessie

Happy Wednesday, Jessie here from Edogg Sugarlips and Princess Buttercup.  I love to alter items, lately I find myself doing it a lot. I picked up this silver pencil cup at Goodwill for $.49.  I used some Fancy Pancy Designs Paper from the Little Sprouts Collection.  I used the front and back of 2  sheets one was Baby's breath and I threw out the other one before I wrote down the name :(  Anyway I added some ribbon and that was it. A super cute holder for me to keep stuff in.

TGIF! Thank you card by Jewels

TGIF Crafting Family Friends!
I am soooo HAPPY that it is finally Friday, it has been a long week and I am so looking forward to the weekend.

I am here today to share a card that I made for a local carpet supply store that donated some material to my daughter's Brownie Troop so that they could make their sit upons. Think cushion that you take with you to a sporting event. They got to pick out their own fleece fabric and are putting them together today at their meeting.
I'll update this post with a pic of mine and my daughter's completed sit upon. =)

Altered Journal Day from Jessie

Hi Everyone,
Jessie here from Edogg Sugarlips and Princess Buttercup. I have a cute altered journal for you today.
I found it on clearance at Michaels for $.25 and just recovered it and turned it into this :)\

I used the Little Sprout Collection by Fancy Pants Designs. The stripe and pink and blue polka dots are called Pampered. The red swirl and pink and green dots are on the Babysbreath paper.
I these all go together pefectly. I used some paper flowers, a brown gel pen, and pink liquid pearls. Then I just got out my ribbon stash.  I love how easily went together, and made a great little journal.  I just have to decide what to do with it.

trick or treat!

Am I a little early? Well, I found this photo of me & my brother from years ago & couldn't resist scrapping it.

I actually used some paper from Pink Paislee Nantucket - the B side of the patterned paper Jumbo Shrimp. You can view it on the Pink Paislee website here. My background paper is this misted with Maya Road carnation pink mist (which looks red in the bottle - my bad!). Then I layered on top of it with another sheet of the same but not misted.

I'm getting a ton of use of that Nantucket line - you don't have to use it for just beachy/summer photos! Christine is selling on the Facebook group Scrapbook Deals - ask her if she can get you some!
